HashiCorp Terraform Associate Certification

The Terraform Associate certification is for Cloud Engineers/DevOps/SRE specializing in operations or development who know the basic concepts and skills associated with open source HashiCorp Terraform.

This is one of the easiest certifications, and with the right set of resources, one can easily pass it within two weeks of study.

My Suggestion:

1. (Very important topics) Terraform Modules and how version argument works in module block, Terraform state, and Logging and CLI are the most crucial topic.
2. Use practice tests to identify your weak areas, and it will also help you manage your time during the exam by giving you a similar experience. 
3. Udemy has a lot of fake practice tests which do not even have proper certification level questions. The one I used (Quiz Experts) is one of the best, and helped me a lot with the points & details I was missing and gave me enough confidence to face the actual exam and helped me score 51 out of 57.

I successfully cleared the Terraform Associate Certification with 2 weeks of learning. I studied using Tj Adam's course on Udemy and complemented it with Bryan Krausen's practice test(Links provided in the last section).  If you do a lot of hands-on Terraform, you will be fine in the exam.

4. Use the Terraform CLI (outside of core workflow)
5. Interact with Terraform modules

8. Read, generate, and modify configuration
9. Understand Terraform Cloud and Enterprise capabilities
   
   

Tips for the exam:

• Do a lot of Hands-on, it will be really helpful
• Do know the order in which variables will be initialized
• Have a basic understanding of Implicit and Explicit dependency
• Know the difference between Terraform OSS, Enterprise and Cloud, refer the Hashicorp docs for this to get an in-depth exaplaination
