Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB)

The certified Six Sigma Black belts have a thorough understanding of Six Sigma Principles with some basic knowledge of Lean Principles. They are able to identify non-value-added elements and activities and are able to use specific tools.

The Certified Six Sigma Black Belt professional can explain Six Sigma philosophies and principles, including supporting systems and tools.

A Black Belt should demonstrate team leadership, understand team dynamics and assign team member roles and responsibilities. The base salary for Six Sigma Black Belt ranges from $97,000 to $119,400 with an average base salary of $109,500.

To qualify for the Six Sigma Black Belt Certification candidate is required to have two completed projects with signed affidavits or one completed project with a signed affidavit and three years of work experience in one or more areas of Six Sigma.

Work Experience must be in a full time, paid role. Paid intern, co-op, or any other course work cannot be applied towards the work experience requirement.
