The six sigma green belt certification requires actual hands-on experience to get certified. You will have to complete a class portion where you learn the academics of process improvement and techniques like white boarding, Fishbones, RCA, FMEA, etc. the second portion of the certification is actually identifying a process that needs review/improvement and applying the techniques and lessons to that process under the direction of a Black Belt. This is not difficult but it does take time and it helps build a functional hands on understanding of the tools and their purposes.
