SAFe® 5 Agilist Certification Preparation
I have passed SAFe 4.6 on October 2019 and decided to upgrade to SAFe 5.0 this summer. The upgrade exam was from the new topics only. I'll share my journey to prepare for both.
1. Take Leading SAFe course
I took it last year for SAFe 4.6 certification. Very helpful
2. Read the preparation materials you get from the course
You will get some PDFs.
3. Bookmark this website: Scaled Agile Framework
Click on every item on the big picture (Full SAFe). Take notes on the competences (very important!).
4. If you upgrade from V4.6 to V5.0, you must understand all the items from here:
What's new in 5.0
5. Take the preparatory exam when ready. You should score around 85-100% to be ready. The exam is a bit more difficult.
6. Use Kahoot application for more SAFe questions.
7. Take the exam when you are fresh.
I have scored 100% on SAFe 4.6 and 97% on SAFe 5.0 upgrade exam. The last one was a bit more difficult.
That's it! Good luck!

SAFe 4.0 certified with 87%
Since I took the 4.0 certification, the framework has changed a little and SAFe now offers 4.5. However, there is a little change in the preparation steps. Let me start off by saying, SAFe offers a lot of certifications. I choose this as I was a scrum master for a long time and the next logical step for our organization and me was to adopt safe and get certified. We are a big team and do not follow SAFe by the book and adopt what suits us the best. For the preparation I would recommend the below:
The exam is closed book, 90minutes and you must get at least 34 answers right(75%) out of 45.
Happy to answer any questions, if there are any.
Good Luck!
Haman
