Sometimes when you have a lot of choices, it is easy to get flummoxed about which agile certification to be taken at what point of time. We have crunched the data for you to make the right choices. Let us break it down across different domains of a project portfolio. For the sake of simplicity, we have the below roles we will stick with:

There are three main certification authorities for Agile – ScrumAlliance , Scrum.org and PMI.org. For scaled agile frameworks, there are others that you can look into like Less, DaD and ScaledAgileFramework(Safe) to name a few.

Scrum Master

Let us draw comparisons on all the three Agile organizations for the Scrum Master Role:

CSP-SM: Hold an Advanced Certified ScrumMaster and at least 24 months of work experience specific to the role of Scrum Master
NA 2,000 hours of general project experience working on teams. A current PMP® or PgMP® will satisfy this requirement but is not required to apply for the PMI-ACP.

1,500 hours working on agile project teams or with agile methodologies. This requirement is in addition to the 2,000 hours of general project experience.

21 contact hours of training in agile practices.
